William Martin led his rink to victory in the final of the Jethro Community Bowlers Charity League as the 2017-18 season came to a close on a very successful Finals Day.
There were two matches at 10.30am on Thursday 22nd March 2018 at the Jethro Centre, Flush Place, Lurgan:

The matches were followed by light refreshments and presentation of the cup, trophies and charity donations.
The Robert Hunter, Maurice Milligan and William Martin rinks have already qualified for Finals Day with two weeks left in the section stage of the Jethro Community Bowlers Charity League.
The winners of the Morning and Afternoon sections will meet in the Final to decide the overall League Champions and Runner-Up with 3rd and 4th places decided in a playoff match between the runners-up in each section.
The William Martin rink cannot be caught in the afternoon section and have already qualified for the Final, but the Robert Hunter and Maurice Milligan rinks are tied on 52 points in the Morning Section and the battle for the other place in the final will not be decided until the last section matches on 1st March.
The John Mackle and Nicky Garvey rinks are in a close race for the 3rd and 4th place playoff on Finals Day with only two points between them in the Afternoon Section.
The Jethro Community Bowlers annual Short Mat Rinks League in aid of charity starts today in the Jethro Centre, Lurgan with 24 teams in two sections competing for the annual trophy.
Over £17000 has been donated to various good causes in the last 6 years, including The Southern Area Hospice, Alzheimer's Society and Macmillan nurses, with more charities expected to benefit at the end of the 2017-18 season.
