The BowlsChat Scramble 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons were interrupted by Covid-19 and all the player qualifications and Ranking Points have been carried over to a new combined 2019-22 season that ends on 30th September 2022.

There is a full Outdoor, Indoor and Short Mat schedule of 3 week Leagues and 1 day Events planned for the year ahead and all information, including draws, results and tables, will be available throughout the season on the BowlsChat/BowlsChat Sport websites, mobile apps (free download on the App Store and Google Play) and social media.

All leagues and events are open to anyone who pays the entry fee and agrees to abide by the rules with any combination of entry allowed (All Male, All Female or Mixed) and players in the same team may be from one or more clubs.

The details tab in the Registration area for each Scramble League or Event contains all relevant information and links.

All players and subs must register their Covid-19 Contact Details if they wish to play in any Scramble Event during the season.

The Jim Baker Stadium has extensive Covid-19 precautions in place for their Indoor Leagues, including temperature checks on arrival and one way systems and additional measures are in force for Scramble Indoor/Short Mat events to ensure as safe an environment as possible for all players.

A Live Stream of part or all of each league or event will be available on the BowlsChat/BowlsChat Sport websites, apps and social media and selected matches will be recorded for the BowlsChat YouTube Channel.

The first BowlsChat Scramble Short Mat League started on Friday 2nd October 2020 at the Jim Baker Stadium with three games between 7pm and 10pm.

There are 20 pairs split into 2 x 10 pair sections in the Friday Evening League with nine games in the round robin format between 2nd and 16th October.

The winner of each section receives a £75 prize and the top two qualify for the free Champions League event in week 13.

All morning, afternoon and evening leagues from Thursday to Sunday are now open for registration.

A Free 16 Pair Champions League Event will be held in weeks 13 and 26 for each league after 4 x 3 week leagues for that league have been completed.

The Champions League Events will take place on the same session day and start at the same session time as their respective 3 week leagues.

A total of four pairs (top two from each section) qualify for the next Champions League event from each 3 week league. If one or both of the top two have already qualified, the pair or pairs in the next league place or places that have not qualified will go through.

The restriction of numbers at venues due to Covid-19 will have an impact our one day events during the 2020/21 season and although overheads will be considerably more due to the number of sessions, we believe it is a feasible option to add Short Mat Pairs Leagues as a new feature for Scramble players.

All leagues will have ten Pairs in two Sections and run for three weeks at the Jim Baker Stadium with promotion and relegation, repeating  until the end of the season in three hour sessions between Thursday and Sunday night.

The following guidelines will apply until further notice to ensure safe play in the Outdoor, Indoor and Short Mat Scramble Events. The number of tournaments in each type of Scramble event will depend on the situation regarding Covid-19 and these guidelines may change at any time.

All players taking part in Scramble events will have read and accepted the guidelines as part of the Terms and Conditions for entry.
